Here is the signature rod from the Daiwa factories. The TOC rod is the top of the range for trout fishing by feel – a technique born in the Pyrenees. The Tournament TOC range is made of SVF Nanoplus carbon – the most sensitive and lightest on the market. The carbon is layered using Daiwa x45 technology, which builds the layers into a pluriangular arrangement for greater lightness and sensitivity. Add to this Fuji Titanium Torzite guides, the best of the Japanese brands range, and you have a rod which stands for excellence. Youll be able to feel the slightest sensation in the line and smallest detail of the bottom like never before. The rod can also be used for fixed presentations, even with incredibly light weights. The ultrasensitive carbon tip is the final asset that allows you to set the hook from the slightest bite of a wary trout.

– Casting weight: 2-16
Technologies:
X45:
– The wrapping of X45 guarantees true elasticity: a return to the original shape of the blank irrespective of the angle of load.
Nanoplus:
– Daiwa uses Toray nanotechnology and optimises it with our own fabrication processes to fine tune our resins down to the nanometre!
– Nano-binding of resins optimises the adhering process of Daiwas best carbons to create ultra-high density blanks that are lighter, stronger and more sensitive.
SVF:
– A reduction in resin and tight packing of the fibres combine to make a lighter, faster, more sensitive blank.
V-JOINT:
– The V-Joint is made from Bias carbon wrapped at 45°, improving the curve and action of the rod under compression on the cast and the fight. The V-Joints Bias carbon has a perfect shape memory returning to its original position as soon as the force exerted on the blank is lifted.
MICRO PITCH:
– A micropigment finish is hot sprayed during the wrapping of carbon sheets. This removes the need for varnish, offering less weight and more sensitivity
Exclusive Reel Seat:
– Daiwas engineering department has developed Daiwa-exclusive reel seats which fuse innovation with Fuji® elements.
FUJI TORZITE Guides:
– Fuji guides boasting ultra-thin Torzite rings for incredibly low friction. These light guides let the blank of the rod have its say. Ultra-thin Torzite rings are 40% lighter than SiC rings and reduce friction by a factor of 20%.
FUJI TITANIUM Guides:
– Fuji guides with a Titanium frame: lighter than stainless steel.
FUJI KR Guides:
– The FUJI KR grew out of the Fuji K concept (2010 generation), offering a lighter guide thats closer to the blank. This aids bite detection and gets you as close as possible to the true action of the blank.
– The Fuji K-R concept was first released to the public on the Japanese market in February 2012 in Osaka proposing a new generation of smaller guides to reduce even further the risks of tangling on the cast.
FUJI:
– The FUJI logo is linked to a Daiwa rod featuring at least one FUJI element, whether its a reel seat or guide.
– FUJI KOGYO CO., LTD was founded on 20 January 1945 in Japan and is the worlds leading rod component manufacturer. Daiwa and Fuji have been collaborating as Japanese manufacturers for decades. FUJI has the technical engineering know-how to respond to the increasingly high demands of anglers for improvements in their tackle. In this respect the company is on the same wavelength as Daiwa in terms of putting innovation at the service of the angler.
